ICT Apprentice

About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic IT 1st Line Support apprentice to join our organisation in Hazel Grove, Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their career in IT while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a professional environment.

• Provide first line support to our clients.
• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems, troubleshooting applications
• Monitor and maintain computer system and network problems – diagnosing and solving hardware-software faults.
• Setting up new users’ accounts and profiles.
• Replacing parts as required and testing and evaluating new technology.

Training

Apprenticeship standard: Information communications technician (level 3)

Training provider: NOWSKILLS LIMITED

After your apprenticeship

• Your earnings can increase over time with an apprenticeship.
• Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
• Further progression may well be available in other areas within our sector, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Working hours

Monday to Friday. Full-time position. Shifts to be confirmed.

37.5 hours a week

Duration: 1 Year 4 Months

Possible start date: 23 November 2026

Things to consider

• Must be local to Hazel Grove/Stockport and able to commute easily to the workplace.
• Must have a genuine interest and background in IT.
• Some previous IT-related experience or education is required, such as college, short courses or previous work experience.
• IT should be more than just a hobby, we’re looking for someone who is serious about building a career in IT.
