Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what is and isn't allowed when using UK Junction. It applies to all users and works alongside our Terms & Conditions and Trust & Safety Policy, which covers prohibited listing items in more detail.
Prohibited content
You must not post, send, or share content on UK Junction that:
- Is illegal under UK law, including content that amounts to a criminal offence to possess, publish, or distribute
- Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or intended to intimidate another person
- Is hateful or discriminatory on the basis of a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010
- Is sexually explicit, or sexualises a minor in any way
- Infringes someone else's intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights
- Is knowingly false or intended to defraud or mislead another user
Prohibited conduct

- Creating multiple accounts to evade a suspension or manipulate listings or reviews
- Impersonating another person, business, or UK Junction staff
- Pressuring, threatening, or attempting to defraud another user during a transaction
- Collecting or misusing another user's personal data obtained through UK Junction
- Soliciting users off-platform for the purpose of evading moderation
Technical misuse
You must not attempt to:
- Access UK Junction systems or another user's account without authorisation
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access, extract, or interact with UK Junction without our prior written permission
- Introduce malware, or attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Platform's operation
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the UK Junction platform, except as permitted by law
- Bypass or circumvent identity verification, moderation, rate-limiting, or payment systems
- Unauthorised access to computer systems may also constitute an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.
Business & verified accounts
Businesses and verified accounts must additionally comply with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and any sector-specific rules relevant to what they sell, and must not misrepresent their verification or business status.
Enforcement
Breaches of this policy may result in content removal, listing suspension, or account suspension, proportionate to the severity of the breach, in line with the enforcement process described in our Terms & Conditions. Serious breaches, including fraud, illegal content, or threats to safety, may be reported to the police or other relevant authorities.
