Seller Terms
Additional terms for people and organisations offering goods or services on UK Junction.
Who this applies to
These Seller Terms apply to anyone posting listings on UK Junction, whether a private individual or a business account, in addition to our general Terms & Conditions. Where the two conflict on a seller-specific matter, these terms take precedence.
Listing obligations
- You must have the legal right to sell any item, property, vehicle, job vacancy, or service you list
- Descriptions, prices, and photos must accurately represent what's on offer
- You must keep listings up to date, mark items as sold promptly, and remove or renew expired listings
- You're responsible for any tax obligations arising from your sales, including registering as a trader with HMRC where your selling activity requires it
Fees & plan entitlements
See our Premium Plans page for current pricing, which always reflects our live commercial terms. We do not take a commission on individual sales, plan fees are the only charge from UK Junction to sellers.
| Plan | Listing allowance | Bump credits / period |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 10 active listings, 14 days each | 0 |
| Plus | 100 active listings, 30 days each | 5 |
| Pro | Unlimited, until sold or removed | 10 |
Business seller obligations
If you sell as a business, including sole traders selling regularly or for profit, you must:
- Comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 in your dealings with consumer buyers
- Clearly identify yourself as a business seller where required, and not misrepresent yourself as a private seller to avoid consumer protections
- Hold any licences or accreditations required for what you sell
- Honour the terms of our Refund Policy in respect of your UK Junction subscription, this does not extend to items you sell to buyers, which remain your responsibility
Response & fulfilment expectations
We expect sellers to respond to genuine buyer enquiries in a reasonable timeframe and to honour agreed sales in good faith. Repeatedly failing to respond, or agreeing sales you don't intend to honour, may result in reduced listing visibility or account action under our Moderation Policy.
Verification
Verified badges are granted following email or phone verification and may be revoked if verified status is used to mislead buyers.
Suspension of selling privileges
We may suspend an individual listing that breaches these Seller Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or our Trust & Safety Policy. Repeated or serious breaches may lead to your account being suspended. You can appeal a decision, see our Appeals Policy.
Relationship to general Terms
These Seller Terms should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions, in particular Section 4 (UK Junction as a platform, not a party to sales) and Section 7 (consumer rights).
